2 Traffic Amendment (No. 4) No. 281, 1992 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Traffic Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1992 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Traffic Regulation 1962 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.108B (Automatic cancellation of a driver’s licence) 3. Section 108B(1)— omit, insert— ‘(1) If— (a) a person has been convicted— (i) in Queensland of an offence mentioned in Schedule B; or (ii) in another State or Territory of an offence equivalent to an offence mentioned in Schedule B; or (b) a person has paid a penalty— (i) in Queensland in relation to an offence mentioned in Schedule B; or (ii) in another State or Territory in relation to an offence equivalent to an offence mentioned in Schedule B; or (c) an order has been made against a person— (i) under section 98F of the Justices Act 1886 in relation to an offence mentioned in Schedule B; or (ii) under a corresponding law of another State or a Territory in relation to an offence equivalent to an offence mentioned in Schedule B; the Director-General may endorse on a record in relation to that person, particulars of the offence, the penalty imposed on the person, the number of demerit points allocated to the offence, and the date on which the offence was, or is alleged to have been, committed. ’.
