s1 2 s4 Traffic Amendment (No. 1) No. 20, 1999 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Traffic Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1999 . ˙ Regulation amended 2.(1) The schedule amends the Justices Regulation 1993 . (2) The remainder of this regulation amends the Traffic Regulation 1962 . ˙ Amendment of s 50 (Obeying the speed limit) 3.(1) Section 50(2)(a), after ‘road’— insert— ‘is’. (2) Section 50(5)— omit, insert— ‘ (5) Despite subsection (2), a person must not drive— (a) an oversize vehicle, that is required under the TransportOperations(RoadUseManagement)Regulation1995 to travel with a pilot or escort vehicle, at a speed over 80 km/h on a road where the speed limit otherwise applying under subsection (2) is more than 80 km/h; or (b) a road train at a speed over 90 km/h on a road where the speed limit otherwise applying under subsection (2) is more than 90 km/h. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.’. ˙ Amendment of s 207 (Prescribed offences for pt 6B of the Act) 4. Section 207(b)— omit, insert— ‘(b) section 50(1) or (5);’.

(2) Schedule 2, section 2(a)— omit, insert— ‘(a) section 50(1) or (5);’. (3) Schedule 2, section 11(a)— omit, insert— ‘(a) section 50(1) or (5);’. (4) Schedule 2, section 20, ‘(c)(ii)’ omit, insert— ‘(c)’. (5) Schedule 2, section 21(a)— omit, insert— ‘(a) section 50(1) or (5);’.
