An Act to Further Amend" The Traffic Act of 1905" THETRAFFIO in certain particulars. ACT AlIIEND- lIIENT ACT [ASSENTED TO 18TH DECEMBER, 1916.] OF 1916. B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "l'he Traffio Aot Amend-. : ~ ! truction ment Aot of 1916," and shall be read as one with "The of Act. Traffio Aot of 1903,"* herein referred to as the Principal Act. Amendment 2. After sub~ ection seventeen of the Schedule to the ooff PSrcihnecdipualel Principal Act, the following subsections are inserted : - Act. Noisy [17A.] Regulating or restricting and, if necessary, brakes, &c. prohibiting the use of noisy brakes on any vehicle in any particular road or part of a road· or generally throughout the District. Brakes on tramcars. [17B.] Notwithstanding anything contained in " The Tramways Aots, It)82-1S90,"t prescribing, on the written recommendation of the Railway Oommissioner, the kind of brakes that shall be used on tramcars and other vehicles used on tramways and the brake power of such brakes.
