TRAFFIC.
No. 12 of 1960.
An Ordinance to amend the Traffic Ordinance
1937-1955.
| Short title | 1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Traffic Ordinance I960.* |
and citation.
(2.) The Traffic Ordinance 1937-I955f is in this
Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Traffic Ordinance 1937-1960.

| (b) by adding at the end thereof the words— |

subject to this section, to the driver of a vehicle or the rider of an animal upon a public street in the same manner as they apply to the driver of a motor vehicle upon the public street.
" (2.) In the application of the provisions of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1960 under this section, a reference to the driver shall be read as a reference to the driver or rider, as the case requires, and a reference to a motor vehicle shall be read as a reference to a vehicle or an animal, but other expressions used in those provisions have the same meanings as provided in that Ordinance.
" (3.) The driver of a vehicle or the rider of an animal upon a public street who contravenes or fails to comply with a provision of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1960 applicable by virtue of this section commits an offence against this Ordinance and is liable upon conviction to the penalty provided in that provision or, where no penalty is expressly provided in that provision, to a penalty not exceeding One hundred pounds or imprisonment for six months.".
