TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION
(Relating to the length of livestock trailers)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 10 December 1993.
Amendment
2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended by omitting from subparagraphs (1) and (2) of paragraph 44C of Schedule F the words “being used” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the words “constructed or equipped”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to make it clear that semi-trailers constructed or equipped to carry livestock must not be longer than 12.5 metres, regardless of whether they are laden or unladen.
This Regulation is made under section 3 of the Traffic Act 1909.
