TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION

(Relating to the fees chargeable for licences and duplicate licences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 11 November 1991.

Amendments

2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended:

(a) by omitting Regulation 5 (2) (e);

(b)

by omitting paragraph 2 of Schedule A and by inserting the following paragraph:

2. Replacement or duplicate licence—Regulations 9A and

18 (1):

(a) for a learner’s licence ....................................................10
(b) for any other licence .......................................................12

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a) to require any person who is the holder of both a driver’s licence and a motor cycle rider’s licence to pay a separate fee for the issue or renewal of each licence (abolishing a scheme in force at present under which the second licence is obtained free of charge); and
(b) to reduce (from $12 to $10) the fee payable for the issue of a duplicate or
