TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION

(Relating to the fee charged for the issue of a permit to use an

unregistered vehicle)

HI§ Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 February 1992.

Amendment

2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended by omitting item

22 from Schedule A and by inserting instead the following item:

22. Permit to use unregistered vehicle—Regulation 53A (2)....... 10

EXPLANATORY NOTE

At present, the fee for the issue of a permit under the Motor Traffic Regulations

1935 for the temporary use on public streets of a motor vehicle which is

unregistered varies according to the type of vehicle concerned, the distance to be
travelled and the duration of the permit.

The object of this Regulation is to amend those Regulations so as to provide a

flat fee for the use of such a permit.
