TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION
(Relating to the definition of an Authorised Disabled Person’s Vehicle)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the
Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 1 September 1992.
Amendment
2. The General Traffic Regulations 1916 are amended by omitting clause 4 (e) of Section 13A and by inserting instead the following subclause:
(e) “Authorised Disabled Person’s Vehicle” mean a vehicle:
(i) that is being driven by, or is being used for the conveyance of, a disabled person; and
(ii) to which is affixed, in a manner directed by the Authority, a disabled person’s parking authority issued by the Authority and in force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the General Traffc Regulations 1916
to redefine what is meant by the words “Authorised Disabled Person’s Vehicle”
when they appear on a traffic control sign. The amendment updates a reference to the Commissioner for Motor Transport to a reference to the Roads and Traffic
