TRAFFIC ACT 1909 - REGULATION*

(Relating to registration requirements for taxi-cabs)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1990.

Amendment

2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended by omitting

paragraph 116 of Schedule F.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to remove from the Motor Traffic Regulations

1935 provisions requiring roof signs to be fitted to taxi-cabs.

The types of roof signs that must be fitted to taxi-cabs are to be prescribed by the

Transport Licensing Regulations 1931.
