TRAFFIC ACT 1909 - REGULATION
(Relating to penalty notices concerning heavy motor vehicles and coaches)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 9 March 1990.
Amendments
2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended by omitting from Table A of Part 2 of Schedule K the matter relating to Regulations 126A (1), (2), (3) and (4), 126B (5), 126C (1) and (2), 126D, 126E, 126F (1) and (2), 126G and 126H and by inserting instead the following matter:

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to reduce the amounts of penalties payable when certain alleged offences relating to the driving hours of heavy motor vehicles or coaches and the keeping and inspection of log books are dealt with under the penalty notice scheme.
