TRAFFIC ACT 1909 - REGULATION
(Relating to fees prescribed for learners' licences and to
storage of blood samples)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended:
| (a) | by inserting in Regulation 5 (2) (d) after the word "licence" the words "(other than a learner's licence)"; |
| (b) | by omitting from Regulation 137 (1) the word "refrigerator" where firstly occurring and by inserting instead the words "security box of a type approved by the Commissioner of Police"; |
| (c) | by omitting from Regulation 137 (1) the word "refrigerator" where secondly occurring and by inserting instead the words |
"security box".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 so
as:
(a) to make it clear that pensioner concessions are not available in respect of learner’s licence fees; and (b) to provide for the use of special-purpose security boxes (rather than hospital refrigerators) for storage of blood samples held for collection by police.
