TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION

(Relating to fees for inspection of tow trucks by an authorised officer)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended:

(a)

by inserting in item 11 (a) (vi) of Schedule A after the words “this item” the words “or a tow truck”;

(b)

by inserting in item (a) (iii) of the matter relating to Regulation 124 in Table B of Part 2 of Schedule K after the word “but” the word “not”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 so as to specify that the fee payable for the inspection of a tow truck by an authorised officer for the purpose of determining whether or not the tow truck is suitable for safe use or complies with the requirements of the Traffic Act and the Regulations is $39. Previously, the fee was $38.

Paragraph (b) of the Regulation corrects a typographical error.
