TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION

(Prohibiting lengthy vehicles from using certain roads)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 26th April, 1991.

Amendments

2. The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 are amended:

(a) by inserting after Regulation 80A the following Regulation: Restricted use of certain roads

80B. A person must not stand or drive, or cause or permit to stand or be driven, on any portion of a public street described in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Regulation, any motor vehicle or motor vehicle combination, if the length of the motor vehicle or motor vehicle combination exceeds the length specified in Column 2 of the Schedule opposite the description of the portion of the public street.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 so as to prohibit the use of certain lengths of road by vehicles which exceed a specified length.
