TRAFFIC ACT 1909—REGULATION

(Prescribing a traffic control sign prohibiting the riding of bicycles on

public streets)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Traffic Act 1909, has been pleased to make the

Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1st August, 1992.

Amendments

2. The General Traffic Regulations 1916 are amended:
(a) by inserting after section 13A (6) (ak) the following clause:

(a1) a symbol in or similar to the form of the symbol illustrated in Diagram 48 in the Schedule to this section means, and the direction represented by the traffic control sign on

which it appears is, that a person riding a bicycle must not
proceed beyond the sign.

(b) by inserting in the Schedule to section 13A in numerical order the

following diagram:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to prohibit the riding of bicycles on public

streets marked by a prescribed traffic control sign.
