His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Traffic Act 1909.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to increase from $70 to $73 the fee payable under the Traffic Act 1909 where an application for the transfer of the registration of a motor vehicle is made more than 14 days after purchasing or acquiring possession of the motor vehicle.

This Regulation is made under the Traffic Act 1909, including section 3 (the general regulation-making power) and, in particular, section (3) (1) (m) (iii).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Motor Traffic Amendment (Transfer of

Registration Application Fee) Regulation 1997.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 25 July 1997.

3     Amendment of Motor Traffic Regulations 1935

The Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Schedule A Fees and Other Charges

Omit “$70” ‘‘$70” from Item 9 (b). Insert instead “$73”.
