His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Traffic Act 1909.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to amend the General Traffic Regulations 1916 to remove references to 2 traffic control signs relating to bicycle lanes that it is intended will be replaced by other existing traffic control signs having the same meaning.

This Regulation is made under the Traffic Act 1909, including section 3 (the general regulation making power) and section 4D.

Regulation 1996

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the General Traffic Amendment (Bicycle

Lanes) Regulation 1996.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 1996.

3 Amendment of General Traffic Regulations 1916

The General Traffic Regulations 1916 are amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.
