Trading Hours (Amendment) Act 1996

An Act to amend the Trading Hours Act 1996

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Trading Hours (Amendment) Act 1996.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences, or shall be taken to have commenced, on 9 September 1996.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Trading Hours Act 1996.1

Interpretation

4.  Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting “to the public” from the definition of “applicable trading hours”.

Trading hours

5.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsections (1) and (3) “to the public”.

No trading outside hours

6.  Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (1) “to the public”.
