I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Trade Practices Act 1974.

1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Trade Practices Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 2).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3Amendment of Trade Practices Regulations 1974

Schedule 1 amends the Trade Practices Regulations 1974.

insert

    For subsection 44ZZAA (8) of the Act, the Australian Energy Market Commission is a prescribed industry body.

Note The Australian Energy Market Commission (also known as AEMC) is established by section 5 of the Australian Energy Market Commission Establishment Act 2004 of South Australia, and defined in section 4 of the Trade Practices Act.
