Trade Measurement (Amendment) Act
1995

An Act to amend the Trade Measurement Act 1991 and for related purposes

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Trade Measurement (Amendment) Act 1995.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Trade Measurement Act 1991.1

Exemptions from Act

4.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (3).

Repeal of Weights and Measures (Sale of Bread) Act 1929

5.  The following Acts are repealed:

Weights and Measures Act 1929

Weights and Measures Act 1932

Weights and Measures Act 1933

Weights and Measures Act 1959

Weights and Measures Act 1967

Weights and Measures Act 1971

Weights and Measures Act 1973

Weights and Measures (Amendment) Act 1978

Weights and Measures (Amendment) Act 1983

Weights and Measures (Amendment) Act 1991.
