Trade Marks Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Trade Marks Act 1955.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on the date of commencement of section 48 of the Industry, Technology and Commerce Legislation Amendment Act

(No. 2) 1989.

Fees

2. Regulation 4 of the Trade Marks Regulations is amended by adding at the end the following subregulation:

"(5) For the purposes of subsection 129 (4) of the Act, the Registrar is to notify the person or his or her agent in writing within 7 days after the lodging of the document, or the doing of the act, for which the fee is payable.".
