“ ‘designated post’ means a post in Bahrain, Ceylon, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the United Arab Republic or the West Indies:”.
(
a ) by omitting from paragraph (a )of sub-regulation (1.) the words “Three thousand one hundred and sixty-seven pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “Three thousand two hundred and eighteen pounds”; and(
b ) by omitting from paragraph (b ) of sub-regulation (I.) the words “Three thousand one hundred and sixty-seven pounds per year but does not exceed Four thousand one hundred and seventy-nine pounds per year” and inserting in their stead the words “Three thousand two hundred and eighteen pounds per year but does not exceed Four thousand two hundred and forty-four pounds per year”.
“(4.) Where the Minister has authorized a Commissioner to travel from and to his post on official duty, otherwise than on the termination of his appointment, the Department shall pay the cost of conveyance of the Commissioner and the Minister may authorize the Department to pay all or part of the cost of conveyance of the Commissioner’s wife and children.
“(5.) Where a Commissioner resigns at a post the Minister may authorize the Department to pay all or part of the cost of conveyance to Australia of the Commissioner, his wife and children.”.

“11. —(1.) Subject to sub-regulation (4.) of this regulation, a Commissioner who, while performing duty in Australia, is required to travel overseas on official duty, other than to a post, is entitled to an equipment allowance of Twenty pounds.
“(2.) Subject to sub-regulation (4.) of this regulation, the Minister may authorize the payment of an allowance of Twenty pounds to a Commissioner who while performing duty in Australia, is required to travel overseas on official duty to a place, other than a post, where tropical climatic conditions prevail.
“(3.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, the Minister may authorize the payment of an allowance of Twenty pounds to a Commissioner who, while performing duty in Australia, is required to travel overseas on official duty to a place, other than a post, where cold climatic conditions prevail.
“(4.) A Commissioner is not entitled to an allowance under sub-regulation (1.), (2.) or (3.) of this regulation if he has received an allowance under that sub-regulation within the preceding two years.”.
“ (b )the wife or child of a Commissioner stationed in Bahrain, Burma. Ceylon, Hong Kong. India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore, Thailand or the United Arab Republic who is assisted with the cost of fares while proceeding on local leave.”.
