Subject to clause 3, the tonnage dues on the gross registered tonnage of a vessel for each 24 hour period (or part of a 24 hour period) of the first 48 hours from the time of berthing are set out in Table 1. The minimum tonnage dues are— (a) in the case of a vessel licensed to provide services in the Port— $4 672.00 per year; or (b) in any other case—$29.21 for each day (or part of a day).

9 Townsville Port Authority Amendment (No. 1) No. 84, 1992 ‘SCHEDULE B ´ ‘HARBOUR DUES section 7.4 ˙ ‘Goods not in containers ‘1.(1) Subject to subclause (2), the harbour dues for goods that are not in containers are set out in Table 1. ‘(2) The harbour dues for goods that are not in containers and for which no provision is made in Table 1 are to be calculated in accordance with the rates mentioned in subclause (3)— (a) by reference to the weight of the goods; or (b) if dues calculated by reference to the size of the goods are greater, by reference to size. ‘(3) The rates are— (a) in the case of transhipped and import harbour dues—$2.61 per tonne or per 2 cubic metre (or a part of 2 cubic metre); and (b) in the case of export harbour dues—$2.19 per tonne or per 2 cubic metres (or a part of 2 cubic metres) Type of goods Live animals— • cattle and horses, per head • others, per head Meat, meat by-products, seafood products and hides, per tonne TABLE 1 Transhipped and import harbour dues $ 1.37 0.65 2.61 Export harbour dues $ 1.28 0.60 2.19
