His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Tow Truck Industry Act 1998.

Explanatory note

1998 is due to start operating as from 10.30 am on 6 March 2000.
The object of this Regulation is to provide for the Minister to determine the start
time of the job allocation scheme by order published in the Gazette.

At present, the job allocation scheme established under the Tow Truck Industry Act sections 52 and 105 (the general power to make regulations).

Clause 39 Operation of scheme

Omit clause 39 (1). Insert instead:

The scheme operates on and from such time on such day as is determined by the Minister by order published in the Gazette.
