ACT 1964—REGULATION

(Relating to the conduct of sweepstakes under the Act)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Totalizator (Off-course Betting) Act 1964, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 18 October 1991.

Amendment

2. The Totalizator (Off-course Betting) Regulation 1983 is amended by inserting in clause 3 after the word “Act” the words “or the conduct of sweepstakes pursuant to section 12B of the Act”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to provide that the Totalizator (Off-course Betting) Regulation 1983 does not apply to a sweepstake conducted under section 12B of the Act.
