Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to authorise payment out of the Tax Reduction Trust Fund (established under section 70A of the Totalizator Act 1997) of any amount directed by the Minister for Racing to be paid to the Department of Justice for use in connection with matters arising out of the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Greyhound Racing Industry in New South Wales.

This Regulation is made under the Totalizator Act 1997, including sections 70A (3) (b) and 117 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Totalizator Amendment (Tax Reduction Trust Fund)
Regulation 2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Totalizator Regulation 2012

Clause 15B

Insert after clause 15A:

15B Authorised payment out of Tax Reduction Trust Fund

For the purposes of section 70A (3) (b) of the Act, any amount directed by the Minister to be paid out of the Tax Reduction Trust Fund to the Department of Justice for use in connection with matters arising out of the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Greyhound Racing Industry in New South Wales is authorised.
