I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Totalizator Agency Board Privatisation Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 20 February 1998 as the day on which Part 2 of, and clause 1 of Schedule 1 to, that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain uncommenced provisions of the Totalizator Agency Board Privatisation Act 1997 that deal with the steps that need to be taken before the Totalizator Agency Board is converted into a public company.
