HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Totalizator Act 1916, has been pleased to make the Rule set forth hereunder.

GEORGE SOURIS

Minister for Racing.

Commencement

1. This Rule commences on 28 June 1991.

Amendment

2. The superfecta Totalizator Rule 1986 is amended by omitting clause

3 (1) and by inserting instead the following subclause:

(1) The Board (in relation to any race) or a racing club (in relation to a race it conducts) may, by order in writing, declare that race to be a superfecta race.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Rule is to amend the superfecta Totalizator Rule 1986 so as to allow racing clubs or the Totalizator Agency Board (instead of the Minister as at present) to declare the races upon which the clubs or the Board can conduct superfecta totalizator betting. The Minister retains the authority to declare a superfecta race to be a golden superfecta race.
