TOTALIZATOR ACT 1916 - REGULATION

(Relating to superfecta totalizators)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Totalizator Act 1916, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 2nd October 1990.

Amendments

2. The Superfecta Totalizator Regulation 1986 is amended:

(a) by omitting clause 7 (1) (f);

(b) by omitting clause 7 (2) and by inserting instead the following subclauses:

(2) In the case of the club that holds the race meeting at which the race concerned is conducted, the return required by section 11 (1) (a) of the Act must include, in addition to the details required by subclause (1), details of the total amount of money contained in the jackpot pool for the race (as calculated in accordance with clause 19 of the Superfecta Totalizator Rule 1986).

(3) The details referred to in this clause must be furnished to the Minister in such form as the Minister from time to time approves.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Superfecta Totalizator Regulation 1986 to remove the requirement that all racing clubs which conduct a superfecta totalizator on a particular race report details of the jackpot pool for the race and to apply that requirement only to the club that actually conducts the race concerned.
