Short title.

1, This Act may be cited as the “ Totalizator Act,

1910.”

In this Act,unless the contextotherwise requires,—

“ Horse race ” includes trotting race or pony race.

“ Inspector” means inspector appointed under this

Act.

Racing cluh ” means cluh, association, or other body of persons (nhether incorporated or unin­ corporated, proprietary, syndicate, company, or individual owners!lip) established for the purpose of pi’omoting, conducting, or control­ ling the sport of horse-racing, trotting-racing, or pony-racing.

The regulations” means the regulations made

under this Act.

The totalizator ” means the instrument or con­ trivance known as “ the totalizator,” and includes any other macliine or instrument of a like nature, and conducted on the like principles.

3. Notwithstanding anytliing contained in any Act Power of

revoke any such notification.

If any racing cluh fails to use the totalizator when so directed as aforesaid it shall he liable to a penalty not exceeding one hundred pounds for every day on which such failure has occurred.
