TOTALISATOR REGULATION

AMENDMENT ACT

No. 4 of 1987

AN ACT to amend the Totalisator Regulation Act 1911.

[Assented to 29 May 1987]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Totalisator Regulation Amendment

Act 1987.

Section 3 amended

2. Section 3 of the Totalisator Regulation Act 1911 * is amended

(a)

in subsection (2) by deleting "A" and substituting the following-

" Subject to subsection (2a) a ";

(b)

after subsection (2) by inserting the following

subsection -

"

(2a) A totalisator licence referred to in subsection (2)

does not authorize the club, its servants or its agents to permit a person under the age of 18 years to participate in the use of, or the facilities afforded by, a licensed totalisator. "; and

(c)

in subsection (3) by inserting after "person" the following-

" over the age of 18 years ".
