No. 69 of 1972.

AN ACT to amend the Totalisator Regulation Act,

1911.

[Assented to 16th November, 1972.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Totalisator Regulation Act Amendment Act, 1972.

Short title

(2)

In this Act the Totalisator Regulation Act, 1911, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Totalisator Regulation Act, 1911-1972.

This Act shall come into operation on a date

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 2

amended.

3.

Section 2 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by adding after the word "horse-racing" in line five of the definition of "Club", the words "or greyhound racing";

(b)

by deleting the definition of "Race-course" and substituting the following definition-

"Race-course" means land and premises used for the purpose of holding race- meetings; ; and

(c)

by adding after the word "horse-racing" in line two of the definition of "Race-meeting", the words "or greyhound racing".
