I, Jenny Macklin, Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, make the following rule under section 143G of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005.

1Name of rule

This rule is the Torres Strait Regional Authority Election Amendment Rule 2012 (No. 1) .

2Commencement

This rule commences on the day after it is registered.

3Amendment of Torres Strait Regional Authority Election Rules 1996

Schedule 1 amends the Torres Strait Regional Authority Election Rules 1996.
