Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Further Amendment Regulations 2025

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020—

(a)to re-appoint a member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and

(b)to appoint three new members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2025.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)For regulation 5(1)(a)(iii) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(iii)Mr Jeremy Laurence Millar, a person chosen by the Minister from a panel of three names submitted by the Anti-Cancer Council;".

(2)For regulation 5(1)(b)(iii) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(iii)Ms Leigh Maxine Russell, a person nominated by the Minister as representing country sport;".

(3)For regulation 5(1)(c)(i) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(i)Ms Amanda Christine Kelly; and".

(4)For regulation 5(4) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(4)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(a)(iii) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2025 and ending on 30 June 2028.".

(5)For regulation 5(7) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(7)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(b)(iii) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2025 and ending on 30 June 2028.".

(6)For regulation 5(8) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(8)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(c)(i) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2025 and ending on 30 June 2028.".

(7)For regulation 5(9A) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(9A)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(d) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2025 and ending on 30 June 2028.".
