Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Amendment Regulations 2024

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020 to re-appoint a member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 23 October 2024.

4Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)Regulation 5(1)(b)(ia) of the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020[1] is revoked.

(2)After regulation 5(1) of the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020 insert—

"(1A)Under section 21(3)(a) of the Tobacco Act 1987, Mr Ian Hamm is appointed as a member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation for the purposes of section 21(1)(b) of that Act for the period commencing 23 October 2024 and ending on 22 October 2027.".

(3)Regulation 5(5A) of the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020 is revoked.
