Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Amendment Regulations 2021

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020—

(a)to provide for the reappointment of one member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and

(b)to provide for the appointment of one new member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and

(c)to remove reference to a former member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

(1)These Regulations, except regulation 5(5), come into operation on 20 July 2021.

(2)Regulation 5(5) comes into operation on 4 September 2021.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2020[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)For regulation 5(1)(c) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(c)for the purposes of section 21(1)(c) of the Act—

(i)Ms Peggy O'Neal; and

(ii)Ms Divanisha Pillay;".

(2)In regulation 5(1)(d) of the Principal Regulations, for "Ms Veronica Pardo;" substitute "Ms Veronica Pardo.".

(3)Regulation 5(1)(e) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.

(4)For regulation 5(5) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(5)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(b)(i) is for the period ending on 3 September 2021.".

(5)For regulation 5(5) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(5)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(b)(i) is for the period commencing on 4 September 2021 and ending on 3 September 2026.".

(6)For regulation 5(8) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(8)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(c)(i) is for the period ending on 30 June 2023.

(9)The appointment referred to in subregulation (1)(c)(ii) is for the period commencing on 20 July 2021 and ending on 19 July 2026.".
