Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Amendment Regulations 2019
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011—
(a)to provide for the reappointment of 4 members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and
(b)to provide for the appointments of 2 new members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and
(c)to remove reference to a former member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation whose term has ended.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.
3Commencement
(1)Except for regulation 5(4) and (8), these Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2019.
(2)Regulation 5(4) and (8) come into operation on 1 October 2019.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Appointment of members of Foundation
(1)For regulation 5(1)(a)(iii) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(iii)Ms Anna Peeters, a person chosen by the Minister from a panel of three names submitted by the Anti-Cancer Council; and".
(2)After regulation 5(1)(b)(i) of the Principal Regulations insert—
"(ii)Ms Bridie O'Donnell; and".
(3)Regulation 5(1)(c)(ii) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
(4)For regulation 5(3) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(3)The appointment under subregulation (1)(a)(i) is for the period commencing on 1 October 2019 and ending on 30 September 2022.".
(5)For regulation 5(4) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(4)The appointment under subregulation (1)(a)(ii) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2019 and ending on 30 June 2022.".
(6)Regulation 5(5) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
(7)For regulation 5(8) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(8)The appointments under subregulation (1)(a)(iii), (b)(ii) and (d) are for the period commencing on 1 July 2019 and ending on 30 June 2022.".
(8)For regulation 5(10) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(10)The appointment under subregulation (1)(b)(iii) is for the period commencing on 1 October 2019 and ending on 30 September 2022.".
