Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Amendment Regulations 2014

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011 to—

(a)provide for the appointment of one new member of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation; and

(b)provide for the re-appointment of five members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2014.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)In regulation 5(1)(b)(iv) of the Principal Regulations, for "Ms Belinda Duarte" substitute "Mr Nick Green".

(2)For regulation 5(3) (including the note at the foot of that regulation) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(3)The appointment under subregulation (1)(a)(ii) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2014 and ending on 30 June 2016.".

(3)After regulation 5(5) of the Principal Regulations insert—

"(6)The appointment under subregulation (1)(b)(iv) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2014 and ending on 30 June 2017.

(7)The appointment under subregulation (1)(b)(i) and (1)(b)(ii) is for the period commencing on 1 July 2014 and ending on 30 June 2018.

(8)The appointments under subregulations (1)(a)(iii) and (1)(d) are for the period commencing on 1 July 2014 and ending on 30 June 2015.".
