(Amendment) Regulations 1996

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these regulations is to provide for the appointment and re-appointment of members to the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 21 and
43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3.  Appointment of members of Victorian Health Promotion Foundation

In regulation 4 of the 1Tobacco (Victorian Health

Promotion Foundation) Regulations 1994—

(a) for sub-regulation (1) substitute— "(1) Professor Sir Gustav Joseph Victor

Nossal, a person with expertise in health and illness prevention, is

appointed a member of the Foundation for the period ending 31 December 1996; and";

(b) for sub-regulation (3) substitute— "(3) Dr Nigel John Gray, a person with

expertise in health and illness
prevention chosen by the Minister from
a panel of three names submitted by the
Anti-Cancer Council, is appointed a
member of the Foundation for the

period ending 27 December 1997; and";

(c) for sub-regulation (4) substitute— "(4) Ronald Patrick Casey, a person with

expertise in sport or sports
administration, is appointed a member
of the Foundation for the period ending

27 December 1997; and";

(d) for sub-regulation (10) substitute—

"(10) Sue Nattrass, a person with expertise in
the arts or arts administration, is
appointed a member of the Foundation
for the period ending 27 December

1997; and";

(e) for sub-regulation (11) substitute—

"(11) Carol Schwartz, a person with expertise
in advertising, is appointed a member
of the Foundation for the period ending

27 December 1997.".
