I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.

1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Tobacco Research and Development Corporation Repeal Regulations 2003.

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Tobacco Research and Development Corporation Regulations — repeal

Statutory Rules 1995 No. 85 is repealed.

4Final annual report of the Tobacco Research and Development Corporation

Despite regulation 3, the Tobacco Research and Development Corporation:

  1. (a)

    continues in existence for the purpose of preparing and giving to the Minister, in accordance with section 9 of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 and section 28 of the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989:

    1. (i)

      its annual report for the financial year ending on 30 June 2003; and

    2. (ii)

      its final annual report on completion of any further activities in the following financial year; and

  2. (b)

    ceases to exist after those reports are given.
