Tobacco Charge (No. 1) Regulations

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Tobacco Charge Act (No. 1) 1955.

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Tobacco Charge (No. 1) Regulations.

Commencement

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 February 1985,

Repeal of Tobacco (Rate of Charge) Regulations

3. Statutory Rules 1973 No. 44 are repealed.

Rate of charge

4. For the purposes of section 5 of the Tobacco Charge Act (No. 1) 1955, the rate of charge is 3.5 cents per kilogram of tobacco leaf.
