Tobacco Charge (No. 1) (Rate of Charge) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and having taken into consideration the relevant recommendations made to the Treasurer by the Australian Tobacco Marketing Advisory Committee, make the following Regulations under the Tobacco Charge (No. 1) Act 1955.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 28 February 1995.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Tobacco Charge (No. 1) (Rate of Charge) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4 (Amount prescribed for the purpose of paragraphs 5 (a) and 5 (b) of the Act)

3.1   Subregulation 4 (1):

Omit “1.5 cents”, substitute “0 cents”.

3.2   Subregulation 4 (2):

Omit “2.7 cents”; substitute “3.2 cents”.
