Tobacco Amendment Regulations 2014

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Tobacco Regulations 2007 as a result of the commencement of the Tobacco Amendment Act 2013.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2014.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco Regulations 2007[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Point of sale notices about tobacco products

(1)In regulation 5(1)(c) of the Principal Regulations, for "or displayed" substitute "in it".

(2)In regulation 5(2)(c) of the Principal Regulations, after "set out" insert "in it".

(3)In regulation 5(2)(d) of the Principal Regulations, for "manner" substitute "form".

6Labelling of tobacco products

Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
