Tissue Grafting and Processing {Repeal).

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the “Tissue Grafting and Processing (Repeal) Act, 1983”.

Commencement.

2.     (1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Human Tissue Act, 1983.

Repeals.

The Tissue Grafting and Processing Act, 1955, and the Tissue Graft­ ing and Processing (Amendment) Act, 1966, are repealed.

Transitional.

4. An authority which was in force under section 2 of the Tissue Grafting and Processing Act, 1955, immediately before the commencement of this section shall be deemed to be an authority in force under Part IV of the Human Tissue Act, 1983.
