903 ( uEPII5Ian^ ANNO QUARTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 66 of 1965 An Act to Amend "The Timber Users' Protection Acts, 1949 to 1964 ," in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 24TH DECEMBER, 1965] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Timber Users' Protection Acts Amendment Act of 1965." (2) Principal Act. " The Timber Users' Protection Acts. 1949 to 1964," are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title . The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Timber Users' Protection Acts, 1949 to 1965.- 2. Amendment of s. 7 (3). Subsection (3) of section seven of the Principal Act is amended by adding after paragraph (c) the following paragraph:- or (d) Who in the course of carrying on the business of erecting, altering, adding to, constructing, reconstructing, building, rebuilding, re-erecting, renovating, repairing, plastering. panelling, lining or decorating buildings. or any two or more of such operations, uses for the purposes of any building operation- ioinery, flooring or moi7idings,".
904 Timber Users' Protection Acts Amendmen : Act of 1965. No. 6f, 3. Amendment of s. 8 (1). Subsection (1) of section eight is amended by omitting paragraph (a) of the proviso to that subsection and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:- (a) That attack by lyctus will not be detrimental to the use or service reasonably expected of the article, building or other thing in respect of which that lyctus susceptible timber was used."
