E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, B by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— Short title. 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as “ The Timber Users' Protection Act Amendment Act of 1955.” Principal Act. (2.) {“ The Timber Users' Protection Act of 1949,” is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. * 4 Eliz. 2 No. 19. t 12 G. 5 No. 15. % 13 G. 6 No. 37.
TIMBER. 333 1955. Timber Users’ Protection Act, Etc., Act. (3.) The Principal Act and this Act may he Collective collectively cited as “ The Timber Users' Protection Acts ,tltle" 1949 to 1955.” 2 Section three of the Principal Act is amended Amendment by repealing the definition “ Lyctus susceptible timber ” 0 s‘ ' and inserting, in lieu of that repealed definition, the following definition, namely :— “ “ Lyctus susceptible timber ”—Timber of a species Lyotus..w of timber specified in the Schedule to this timber. Act which— (а) (Save any of that timber which has been treated by an approved preservative treatment) actually contains starch; or (б) (Being the subject of any action, suit or proceeding, including any proceeding for an offence against this Act) is being attacked by lyctus at or at any time after the time when the cause of the action or suit or the offence the subject of the proceeding in question arose or was committed; 3. Subsection one of section six of the Principal Repeal of Act is repealed and the following subsection is inserted in 8 an .6 d (1 ri ) e . w lieu of that repealed subsection:— “ (1.)
