1 1 by and with tbe advice and consent of the Legis-
| • | lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— |
| Short title. | 1 , Tliis Act may be cited as the “ Throsby Creek Stormwater Drainage Act, 1931.” |
| Works | 2 . (li The carrying out of the works described in the Schedule is hereby sanctioned, and the Minister for Public Works is empowered to carry out the said works. |

| The plan. | (2) The plan of the said works is the plan marked “ Throsby Creek Stormwater Drainage, Newcastle,” signed by the Minister for Public Works and counter signed by the Chief Engineer for W'ater Supply and Sewerage, and deposited in the office of the said Minister. |
| Coat. | (3) The cost of carrying out the said works is estimated at six hundred and forty-five thousand pounds, and such estimated cost shall not, under any circumstances, be exceeded by more than ten jier centum. |

T he deepening and enlarging of the existing Throsby Creek entrance and channel, and the construction of subniains and branches, with necessary bii<lge crossings. The wnirk wall consist of concrete-lined channels witli reinforced concrete pi|ies for the smaller laterals, making a to ta l length of about tw enty six miles.
Subject to such deviations and modifications as may be deemed
necessary by the Minister.
