Threatened Species Protection Order 2006

I make the following order under section 13(5) of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 .10 January 2006

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection Order 2006 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal ActIn this order, the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Schedule 3 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are endangered) Schedule 3 to the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 40 from the table headed Flora–Dicotyledonae in Part 1 and substituting the following:

40.  Viminaria juncea (Schrad. & J.Wendl.) Hoffmans., Fabaceae Golden spray

(b) by omitting item 2 from the table headed Flora–Monocotyledonae in Part 1 and substituting the following:

2.  Aristida benthamii var. benthamii Henrard, Poaceae Three-awned spear grass

(c) by inserting after item 49A in the table headed Flora–Monocotyledonae in Part 1 the following:

49B.  Thelymitra bracteata J.Z.Weber ex Jeanes, Orchidaceae Leafy sun-orchid

(d) by omitting item 10 from the table headed Flora–Dicotyledonae in Part 2 and substituting the following:

5Schedule 4 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are vulnerable) Schedule 4 to the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 1 from Part 1 and substituting the following:

(b) Sarcophilus harrisii	(Thomas)	Tasmanian Devil

(b) by omitting item 11A from Part 3 ; (c) by omitting item 2 from Part 5 and substituting the following:

2.  Pherosphaera hookeriana W.Archer bis, Podocarpaceae Drooping pine

6Schedule 5 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are rare) Schedule 5 to the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 63 from Part 3 and substituting the following:

63.  Eutaxia microphylla var. microphylla (R.Br.) C.H.Wright & Dewar, Fabaceae Spiny bushpea

(b) by inserting after item 75 in Part 3 the following:

75A.  Hibbertia sp. ‘Pontville’ (A.M.Buchanan HO527774), Dilleniaceae Basalt guineaflower

(c) by omitting item 158 from Part 3 and substituting the following:

158.  Vittadinia cuneata var. cuneata DC., Asteraceae Fuzzy New Holland daisy

(d) by omitting item 165 from Part 3 and substituting the following:

165.  Zieria littoralis J.A.Armstr., Rutaceae Dwarf zieria

(e) by omitting item 13A from Part 4 and substituting the following:

13A.  Austrodanthonia induta (Vickery) H.P.Linder, Poaceae Tall wallaby grass

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order amends the

(a) adding certain species to, and omitting certain species from, the Schedules of endangered, vulnerable and rare flora and fauna; and (b) updating certain taxonomic and authority references.
