I, Robyn Parker, the Minister for the Environment, in pursuance of section 9 of the
Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 (the Act):

(a)	to insert an asterisk before the names of certain threatened species in Schedules 1, 1A and 2 to the Act to indicate their national status for species that are listed as threatened species under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 of the Commonwealth (the Commonwealth Act), and
(b)	to omit the asterisk before the names of certain other threatened species in Schedules 1, 1A and 2 to the Act to indicate that they are not listed as threatened species under the Commonwealth Act.

This Order is made under section 9 of the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Threatened Species Conservation Amendment
(Nationally Threatened Species) Order 2011.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published in the
Gazette.
