Notice of Final Determination and Amendment of Schedules 1 and 2 to Act

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has, in pursuance of Division 3 of Part 2 of that Act, made a final determination:

(a)	to insert the following species of plant in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to that Act (Endangered Species), and
(b)	as a consequence, to omit reference to that species of plant from Schedule 2 to that Act (Vulnerable Species),

and, accordingly, those Schedules are amended as set out in Annexure “A” to this

Chenopodiaceae

Sclerolaena napiformis Paul G. Wilson

This species is currently listed as Sclerolaena napiformis in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Endangered Species Protection Act 1992 of the Commonwealth, and, consequently, under section 6 of the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, should be inserted in Schedule 1 to that Act with an asterisk.

The final determination to insert this species in Part 1 of Schedule 1 has been made because the Scientific Committee is of the opinion that the species is likely to become extinct in nature in New South Wales unless the circumstances and factors threatening its survival or evolutionary development cease to operate.

Schedule 1 to the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 is amended by inserting in Part 1 in alphabetical order under the heading “Plants” and the sub- heading “Chenopodiaceae” the matter:

Schedule 2 to the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 is amended by
omitting the following matter under the heading “Plants” and the sub-heading

“Chenopodiaceae”:
