THREATENED SPECIES CONSERVATION ACT No 101

Notice of Final Determination and Amendment of Schedule 1 to Act

The Scientific Committee established under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 has, in pursuance of Division 3 of Part 2 of that Act, made a final determination to insert the following population in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to that Act and, accordingly, that Schedule is amended as set out in Annexure “A” to this Notice:

Rhamnaceae

Pomaderris prunifolia Fenzl P. prunifolia in the Parramatta, Auburn,
Strathfield and Bankstown Local
Government Areas

The final determination to insert this population in Schedule 1 has been made because the Scientific Committee is of the opinion that the population’s numbers have been reduced to such a critical level and its habitat so drastically reduced, that it is in immediate danger of extinction. The population is also disjunct and at or near the limit of its geographic range and is of significant conservation value.
